Welcome to Tweed Palliative Support

Tweed Palliative Support (TPS) is an inclusive cancer support and palliative care charity that has recently opened NSW’s only community hospice for children and adults, Wedgetail Retreat. Established in 1998, this multi award-winning organisation provides free home-hospice support, respite and hospice nursing care, educational courses and Sunshine ‘Pamper’ Days for people living with cancer or a life-limiting illness and their family.

We work collaboratively with local health professionals and networks to provide these services to over 1200 residents of the Tweed Shire and beyond every year. While we are largely run by volunteers, we urgently need to raise over $500,000 annually for hospice nursing wages alone.

Your donations and support are vital to help people of all ages in our community; relatives, friends…the disadvantaged, to get the help they need at one of life’s most challenging times. We do not receive significant government funding and rely on funds raised through donations, Bequests, sponsorships, events and our Murwillumbah Op shops.

We invite you to read through our service information, news and testimonials. If you have any questions, please contact us.
