Ways to Donate

Your Help is Appreciated

We are not government funded and rely on donations, bequests and fundraising to provide our much-needed services to those experiencing life-limiting illness and their families. Your support through a donation provides a practical gift that will live on in the hearts of many. Donating to Wedgetail Retreat or Tweed Palliative Support today will help us to continue our vital work in the future. Specifically to;

  • Provide equipment, transport and respite for our home hospice care.
  • Continue to run NSW’s only adults’ community hospice with nursing staff 24/7.
  • Provide funds for the continuation and expansion of our service.
  • Create a greater awareness of palliative care amongst the general public and health professionals.

Making a gift in your Will to Tweed Palliative Support Incorporated is a very special way of giving care and support to those living with life-limiting illness and their families through the on-going work that we do.

There are a number of ways that you can leave a gift in your Will to Tweed Palliative Support; a share or a percentage of your estate, gifts of property and others.

Please instruct your solicitor to include the following clause in your Will.

I give and bequeath the sum of $ ________________________ to Tweed Palliative Support Incorporated (“TPS”) to be applied for the benefit of TPS for:
the purpose of providing services directly associated with hospice; community based palliative care; bereavement support; the general purposes and objects of TPS and in respect of such legacy, I declare as follows:
(a) A general charitable intent shall apply
(b) The receipt of the Treasurer for the time being shall constitute a full and sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees
(c) My executors and trustees shall not be obliged to see or to inquire into the application of money or assets, the subject of this legacy.

You may contact Peter Sochacki, Solicitor, who will happily organise a codicil (an amendment to your will) setting out your bequest in favour of TPS. Peter offers that service free of charge and can be contacted on 0412 660 033.

Your donation will live on in the hearts of many.
